Ronald D. Blumenfeld of Leslie, MO passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the age of 80 years.

Ronald was born on March 12, 1933 in Saint Louis, MO to the late David and Anna (Federhofer) Blumenfeld. He and Mary Costello were married on December 3, 1993 in Saint Louis, MO. Mr. Blumenfeld was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Churchin Sullivan. Ronald was an ace mechanic and worked tirelessly to get the job done right. He loved to help others and was a prolific giver, supporting many veterans groups as well as; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, St. Vincent De Paul and the Sunshine Mission.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Blumenfeld of Leslie, MO, daughter, Amber Blumenfeld of Leslie, son, Doug Blumenfeld of St. Louis, daughter, Ronda Breitenstein and husband, Mike of St. Louis, son, Ronald Blumenfeld of St. Louis, MO, daughter, Debbie Gay and husband, Roger, of St. Louis, seven grandchildren, Michelle Schumer and husband, Adam, Eric Gay and wife, Brittany, Rachel, Joshua and Ethan Gay, Kristina Bennett, and Abigail Lagermann, five great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Aidan, Grace, Kayleigh, and Skylar Schumer, other relatives and many friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan with inurnment at National Cemetery, Jefferson, Barracks, MO. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 2:15 pm. Visitation for Ronald D. Blumenfeld will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, at the chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Paralyzed Veterans in memory of Ronald Blumenfeld.

All arrangements are under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.
