David E. Lahmann of Sullivan passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the age of 73 years.
David was born April 16, 1937 to the late Chester and Dolly (Studdard) Lahmann at Sullivan, MO and has been a life long resident of the area. On March 4, 1955 he was united in marriage to Wanda Parker and two children were born to their union. David was employed as a lineman for Crawford Electric for 33 years. Mr. Lahmann was a serious but loving person who could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed woodworking and made furniture and cabinets. David was a long time member of New Testament Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon at the age of 21 and also served as a Sunday school teacher. A loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend, he will be missed by his family, church family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Wanda nee Parker of the family home; one daughter, Theresa Lund and husband Andrew of Sullivan; four brothers, Dan Lahmann and wife Kit, Chester Lahmann and wife Bonnie, William Lahmann and wife Rosemary all of Sullivan and Donald Lahmann and wife Nancy of Berryville, Arkansas; one sister, Margaret Wagner of the state of Utah; two grandchildren, Joselyn and Heidi Lund, other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lahmann.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010 from New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan with Pastor Charles Idleman officiating. Interment was in Reedville Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. David Lahmann was held on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
