Obituary for Chleo "Margueritte" White

Chleo Margueritte (nee Key) White, 103, of Waynesville, MO, formerly of Sullivan, MO, went to be with her Savior on March 3, 2018. Margueritte was the daughter of the late Benjamin Andrew Key and Chleo (nee Carter) Key. She was united in marriage to Ralph C. Marsh on July 14, 1935 and one daughter was born to this union, Chleo Marie Marsh. While living in Sullivan, Margueritte was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Order of Rebekah's. Margueritte was an exquisite seamstress; she also wove rugs and had a store front in Sullivan in the early 1960's. Her love of sewing provided her grandchildren with many beautiful doll and Barbie clothes and hundreds of her baby quilts were shipped overseas for Catholic Charities. Margueritte lived on a farm and loved raising chickens, growing a large vegetable garden and canning. She loved sharing her harvest with her friends, family and neighbors.

In 1967, Margueritte married Earl J. White of Bonne Terre, MO. While living in Bonne Terre, Margueritte’s love of sewing continued and she was a member of the Catholic Church and the Order of Rebekah's. Upon Earl’s death, Margueritte returned to her home town of Sullivan, MO.

Margueritte is survived by her son-in-law, Donald K. Ruwwe of Bourbon, MO; sister-in-law, Alice Christina Key of Kerrville, TX; 3 grandchildren, Steven E. Ruwwe and wife Judy of Stanton, MO; Janet L. Lein and husband Kim of Iberia, MO; and Linda M. Schneider and husband David of Rolla, MO; 8 great grandchildren; 24 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.

Ruwwe Nicoletti, one great grandson, Brian Lee McCance; sister-in-law, Marcie Key & many friends.
